Sixteen years and just today a YT recommendation. I click every time I see Zadok the Priest. I may be American but the UK is the land of my heritage, . My DNA is predominatly England, Scotland and Wales.

A buddy (moreso mentor) of mine recommended this song to me when I was just a dumb kid thinking I understood music. I've never thought something written so simply (in terms of the actual manuscript) could ever deliver this much depth. But, it manages to be more and more intense as the song goes on. The resolution almost doesn't feel final. Just sad. What a beautiful piece.

Haven't watched this in quite a while. After making my way through it (and this will be the last time!) again, I have to say rhat despite many musically effective and enjoyable moments, my discomfort in seeing his almost non-stop smiley face and those "expressively" raised elbows was an annoying distraction up to the very end. I know, I know - - "Close your stupid eyes!" as hundreds of viewers are wont to say, but is this kind of 'advice' supposed to be complimentary to the performer? I mean, if I were to find out that members of my audience had to cover their eyes in order to enjoy my playing, I wouldn't exactly regard that as positive feedback. And my blazing argument is this: If he's able to play so well (listen to his stupendous Chopin etudes [except for his thoroughly unwatchable "Tristesse" on RUclips]), why does he feel the need to employ a whole gallery of totally unnecessary and totally embarrassing facial and bodily gestures (and sometimes, contortions)? Once again, I say that I know that most of his admirers are enraptured, inspired, brought to tears, and so on, by his emotional displays, and are duped into thinking that this stage behavior is desirable and perfectly appropriate for a classical performing artist. Well, dear viewers, it isn't. It simply isn't.

Well look at the show and look at the audience. Libera is so far above this dog and pony act show what do you expect. Libera is traveling the world and is within the top 10 on the charts. I just hope they don't go back to this show again. Heck I'll send them the 10 grand not to.

I was disappointed to see Libera on such a ridiculous show (slinky man?) really. They so outclassed the rest of the acts. I'm thrilled they are still strong in 2024!!!! Sure miss all these guys though.
